Hi there, I’m Dan, a freelance writer and photographer who has nowhere to call home. A camera and a pen usually allow me to make some sense of reality as I perceive it. On a good day, I get as far as representing questions about it – while trying not to impose my own standards on the subject.
Often, I recall Der Erzähler (in Wim Wenders’s “Der Himmel über Berlin”) saying that we’d be lost without story-telling. We’d lose our childhood. Although the Narrator himself seemed lost, old, and weak, he kept wandering the streets, while wondering what his role in society was. Pondering the magic power of words and images, without which it’d be impossible to live.
As with some sketches, these glimpses of streetlife fit in with random attempts of mine to follow in Der Erzähler‘s footsteps.
